But they DID spend $30 grand for the security system. To go top-notch and not have recorders hooked up to each camera doesn't make sense. If tapes exist, I want to see the car driving up to the school and the person(s) bursting through the door--that's as much as I want to see. When every street corner and every 7-11 has video cameras ROLLING, we can expect our SCHOOLS to be as secure.... I'm not diminishing Ms. Hochsprung's actions at all, if things happened as the official story says it happened. I just noticed something in here.. Are there ANY street or business cams or anything that could have footage of him DRIVING too the school? I haven't explored his route and all that.. Thought with all this camera talk might have been one (even on a stop light) that picked him up driving there..

I dont' believe we have cameras like that in our town. The road he most likey took is a one lane country road with 1 stop light.

There's only one road into the school. It was designed that way. With a fire station at the mouth of the road as protection. It's a two-lane paved highway that serves as the main street in town. There are cameras.

There are cameras. What 2 lane highway are you refering to? Route 34 intersects riverside road and Chirch hill. These are just streets. Are you refering to route 84 as a highway. I do not think any business down town has cameras, bit I will look.

"Collapse report" looks like it has an agenda, and doesn't explain where it found the $300,000 number. Why do you trust things like this? It has its facts wrong. Seek the truth. This is disinfo.

Precisely why people are questioning it. I get the impression you feel our questions are invalid.... I knew people involved and I still have questions. As for the cameras, it's not statewide yet to have them at traffic lights, but it's possible there may be one at the intersection downtown. Mom? Kate?

We got them in Stamford 3 years ago. We're only just starting to get them in Bridgeport.
Look up on the wire the traffic light is hanging from... if you have them, it should be right there in the middle of the wire.

While there may be traffic light cameras in Connecticut, I have never, ever seen one. This isn't Los Angeles.

The new lights, especially with the 'countdown' to Walk, have them integrated into the system.

While there may be traffic light cameras in Connecticut, I have never, ever seen one. This isn't Los Angeles. Actually they are in every major intersection in Stamford and Norwalk. I have seen a few in Westport and Danbury and I am seeing more and more in Black Rock and around other parts of Bridgeport and Fairfield. It's really just an easy way for the cops to give out tickets for people who run red lights. Typically, if you arent actually looking for them, you won't notice them. Tuffy - there aren't those kinds of crosswalks in Newtown.

Tuffy - there aren't those kinds of crosswalks in Newtown. They must have the old kind--beside the traffic lights on the overbar. Or attached to every other business in town. Why aren't the cops searching every store hoping to find some type of evidence? Admittedly, we're not there.... but after the 24/7 coverage to be shut down from news of progress is ridiculous. MSM tells us exactly where we need to look by how quickly and heavily they cover a story and how just as quickly and silently they disappear.

Like I said originally, they're not statewide yet. The cameras, I mean.
Yes, there are the old flashing "walk" signals. You may think it's strange, but aside from the large stores (like Big Y and all the stores and restaurants on route 25) I can't recall seeing a camera outside in downtown sandy hook. Inside a bar, yes. Outside facing to the street or sidewalk? No
