Trying to stick to the rules here, but a related question to the Xmas trees thread. Who or what group bought the trees and set them up on Dickinson Drive? If a group like the Rotary Club/Lions/Masons bought the bunch and set them up, that would have been a great photo op for S.Hook... Nice memorial-type community thing.. Anyone know who bought them, and why no pictures?

I don't remember seeing any trees set up as a memorial. Just the main tree in Sandy Hook Center. The firehouse sells Christmas trees every year

I don't have it mom, but there was an article and pics where someone bought 26 trees and set them up along Dickinson Dr.

I would not have seen it as the town was over run my media and others wishing to stop and give condolences. It was 2 months before I was ready to drive past the school. So I must have missed it.

Didn't you hear about it, though? There was such publicity about the memorials, that would be a very special one.

People Magazine--that's pretty well-publicized.
