Hi Kate and Mom,
Having been in special ed throughout my school years, in one way or another, was wondering were these two classes in Special Ed. It seems like a couple of kids were autistic and I have heard another one had a speech impediment. Also it seems like some of the other kids in the classes have been reported too have been autistic as well, by some report.
Thanks.

No they weren't special Ed classes. Our special education kids are included in regular classrooms but often leave at certain points to work with their special Ed teachers/helpers throughout the day

Our special ed kids are integrated much the same as kate's with most of the day in regular classrooms. I think it helps everyone in the long run.
What I find strange is the number of 'speech-impaired' kids and adults in S.Hook. A couple of the kids interviewed had impediments, Robbie P, and one of the dads who spoke at the hearing --all had speech anomalies. Is it something in the water, lol??
