Hi "Mom' and "Kate", First off thanks for being welling to give answers to our question hopefully by doing this you will give us an insight that many of us don't have. Now to my question, it's a two part question so hopefully it doesn't violate the rules of this section.
What was the process for you to get your kids out of the fire house? Did you need to sign them off from a class list?
Wondering on this since it could maybe explain how some people learned earlier then the general public (General public being those not from Sandy Hook) who was killed in the shooting.
Thanks in advance for your answer.

When I arrived I located both my children in the back of the Firehouse. As more parents and kids continued to arrive . My husband and I moved our Girls to the fire bay. They had just moved the trucks out. A bit later the began to line the children up by grade. The teachers a d parents helped with the lists of the kids present. On e that was started we checked them out and left. It became very obvious while lining them up we were missing a lot of 1st grade was missing. Many locals probably knew faster than everyone else as word spreads very quickly in a small town.
