Where was the janitor (Rick Thorne) location wise in the school at the time Lanza entered the building? And did he run down the hall warning people there was a shooter?
Why was the normal janitor not working that day?
Thanks!

He was in the gym hallway. The long kne going towards the back of the building. There were kids still coming into school, bringing attendance to office when gunman came in. He ushered all to closest classes to get them safe. Don't know about main janitor. Don't know where he was

I work for a school district. And it is possible they do their staffing differently. But I know in our district we have custodian shifts. But there is more than one custodian on duty at all times during school day.. 600 kids may be a small school, and but 600 plus students and an additional 30-40 staff, they make lots of messes.. And the areal view of that school, and it's pretty big as far as walking it and cleaning it. There definitely would have been more than 1 custodian on duty.. Just my opinion.
