Okay, so everybody met up with their kids at the fire station.
Or everybody was bussed out to meet their parents at an undisclosed location.
?
Why was ONE bus backed in to a parking spot so neatly between two other vehicles? How many buses did you see parked at the fire station? Were there any in the wings waiting to carry the next busload of kids out? I didn't see others, just that one bus...

I do not know anything about the bus. I was home withy children before this. The only thing I can assume I that many parents were forced to park very far away from the school and were helped to get closer. The roads all around were closed.

Kate, In your passings of the Sandy Hook firehouse on Riverside Road from time to time, have you ever notice if school buses ever park in the firehouse lot, the drivers perhaps killing time until it was time for a pickup at the school? Tuffy was referring to bus 23 that was parked on the apron in front of the firehouse all day, and whether it was unusual what the bus was doing there all that time. I wonder if it was somehow connected with the school bus driver who brought the children to Gene Rosen's house next door. Bruce

It's not uncommon on ramdom days as sandy hook has half day kindergarten so they defiantly have time to waste waiting. Maybe this is why?? They hang out in the grocery store lots too. Just never really thought about it

You or mom said the fire house was LOCKED and that's why the kids walked to Gene Rosen's house.. One weird thing on that: Wouldn't the kids stay AT the fire house knowing someone would show up considering the circumstances? Instead they saunter over to Gene's place and sit on his lawn?

The kids were absolutely terrified after running for their lives. One kids nanny lives down the road and think they were all honestly just running. They weren't thinking. They were running up the road when the mail carrier saw them and held them until the bus driver happened to pass and stop. No one knew what to do. This was before anyone knew what was going on. While police were in route.

I was there. I live here. I know what was closed, thanks. And riverside is a long road FYI.and parents were parked on other roads because they couldn't get close to the school to get their children.

Hoax101 that's a second warning no need to be rude. And when we say the roads were closed some where physically closed by police others were closed by all the vehicles. Please once again be respectful.

They were running up the road when the mail carrier saw them and held them until the bus driver happened to pass and stop. No one knew what to do. This was before anyone knew what was going on. While police were in route. So you know the children who ran to Gene Rosen's house because you said one of their nannies lived down the road. I have a question about that but I'll start a new thread for that. I think my question got lost in your answer because 1. You said School Bus #23, the one neatly parked in front of the fire house, was probably there because bus drivers have been known to hang out there waiting to do their routes. So, since the bus was there, why would the bus driver---even if none of the volunteer fire fighters were there--NOT open the door at the sound of kids screaming and banging on the doors? If the fire house was indeed locked and the kids were running, why wouldn't they run to the nanny's house instead of plopping down on Gene Rosen's lawn? Was it a mailman or a man in uniform who stopped the kids? Where'd the bus driver come from? You probably know her name..

Some did run to the nannies house. The group of kids split off. Some stopped some kept going and were picked up further up the street and brought to the police station

Why have we not heard about her? ----What did she do when a pile of kids showed up at her house? Did she at least have the common sense to call the authorities? Gene Rosen didn't. Darn it.. You brought in another person in this scenario.. I have to make a new thread..

Please once again be respectful. I'm going by what I was told by the Newtown Police that morning. And while I'm at it, you can go fuck yourself you damn lying fraud. Nothing you have said carries any weight whatsoever. You can keep lying to these guys but IMO you are nothing but damage control. Sorry, and bye! Wow, hoax.. Not a lot offends me but the way you approach these ladies does. You sound like you have 'real-time' information and I'd like to hear what you have to say.

We will be removing him.
