This question is directed to any parent or resident of Newtown/Sandy hook who may care to answer it. Thanks, Bruce
How do the residents feel about the official story of the Sandy Hook shooting. Are there any rumors circulating around town that there may be more to this incident than is being reported. Are residents satisified with what info officials have givin out so far, or is a demand developing in town that questions need to be answered?

Honestly Bruce I can say that yes the media really did make a mess but to be honest I haven't really read much on it. To me right now the details do not matter. A shooting took place, we now have missing students and staff. My children's mental health is of the upmost importance. And righ now it is fragile. We are more concerned about making our kids safe that knowing the details right now. Non of the details will change how my children were affected or how they need to heal. That may sound crazy to someone who has not experienced what we have but honestly just getting through the day is tough. Many have taken medical leave from work. Ordinary life is just hard right now.

Thank you for your prompt response mom. To be honest, the Sandy Hook shooting has disturbed me deeply since it happened. Mainly due to the all the young children involved. I still question why such a thing happened. I don't know, but maybe in the passage of times things will start to heal in Newtown and for it's residents.
For me, I did not want to believe one lone kid could pull off such a horrific thing, and then I was angry as I want justice done, and you can't get justice as the shooter killed himself.

Bruce, I think anger is part of the grieving, but we are sandy Hook and we chose love. Adam honestly was the saddest death in my opinion. For someone to have that much rage and anger means somewhere we as a society failed , be it gun laws, mental Heath benefits, or just plan compassion for people who are different.
