First of all, I want to thank you personally for being willing to talk with us. My heart goes out to you and the entire town of Newtown.
As a father of 3 little ones myself, I am very sensitive to the news of that day.
I would like your thoughts on the emergency response to the scene that day. As far as I know, not one child was sent to the hospital. Also, I saw the helicopter footage showing the odd scene with empty stretchers and crisis tarps just sitting there while people stand around outside the school. Have you seen this footage? And then we see all the ambulances were parked at the fire house. At least one witness at the scene reports that no nurses or ambulances were permitted to the school... she says they were told to turn around "they were not needed"**.
As far as i can tell from reports, the police announced that the children were all dead and said the typical EMS response wasn't needed, turning away a nurse and the EMS response*... not only is this very odd to me, it appears that this could have been gross misconduct on the part of the police if legal protocol for pronouncement of death wasn't followed (considering a life may have been saved if it had been followed).
Have any parents of children who were lost that day shown any concern for the way the incident was handled once police arrived?
Who pronounced the victims dead at the scene and at what time?
Was there anything about the EMS response that seemed odd to you?
Thank you.

*For the EMS teams staged in front of Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, that moment came when the Newtown EMS Captain ordered us to stand down, that there was no one left to help, no one left alive.
