He won't even acknowledge the receipt of the petition. Wow.. He didn't think far enough ahead on that law he insisted upon--Lanza is not a minor--that autopsy report should be public information. (of course, carver could say lanza tripped and fell down the stairs.)
More rules he's not playing by:
The law regarding pediatric autopsies that he insisted be put into place or he'd quit his job. That was early 2012. He got his way and the ME's Office is NOT required to reveal or supply ''pediatric'' autopsy information, with certain very hard-to-qualify-for exemptions.
One of his asst MEs, Evangelista, was charged by the PROSECUTION with perjury 1-19-11 and again in 2012. Evangelista did the autopsies on the 'homeless man beaten to death by two men' case that made national news.... Evangelista, in the first trial in '06 said one thing, and in the case for the 2nd defendant in 2010 said a completely contradictory statement.... It's highly unusual--as in never--for the prosecution to charge someone with perjury, yet here they did.
One article I read said Carver wanted to relax a bit and become an asst ME. He couldn't do that so he stayed on as Chief ME. (I didn't record the year.)
Just an aside: He requested extra staff 3-1-04 after one ME and one clerical worker were cut in 2003. He eventually got his full staff back using --ta da!---Gov. Malloy/Mallory connections.
